Pastors Ben & Melissa started their life together in the business world but early on felt the call of God to leave their corporate careers and launch a life giving church in South Florida.From there the vision of Generation church was born; a mission to inspire a generation to follow Jesus. They have been building the local church in South Floirda for over a decade by empowering the next generation and learning from those before. They have two amazing sons, Hudson & Ethan!
Leadership Structure
1. We Are Governed by A Board Of Directors
Per IRS requirements, Generation Church is governed by a 5-member board of directors. The GC BOD governs the overall ministry of Generation Church and holds the Pastor and Staff accountable to God for all aspects of the ministry.
The GC Board is comprised of the Lead Pastor and Executive Pastor, one CPA (Board Treasurer), and two nationally respected, seasoned pastors.
The Board members are responsible for providing spiritual protection, wise counsel, financial oversight and budget approval, institutional and doctrinal oversight, personnel appointments, as well as personal, financial, pastoral, and spiritual accountability. Within the BOD is a three-member compensation committee that sets the salary for both the Lead and Executive pastor, according to nationally published ministry salary guidelines.
Formally, the BODs serve as Apostolic Elders and hold ecclesiastical authority as defined by the IRS.
The GC BOD meets annually to review and approve the annual budget, sets staff salaries, and approves housing allowances in accordance with Safe Harbor Guidelines. The Board is also tasked with reviewing and approving all real estate transactions involving GC.

2. We Are Protected by Trustees
The Trustees are a non-voting, advisory board of businessmen within the church that assists the Lead Pastor with wise business decisions in the areas of finance, operations, property acquisition, construction, and ministry support. The Trustees serve as Non-staff Elders.

3. We Are Guided by Pastors
The Lead Pastor leads all Pastoral Staff according to the vision and mission of Generation Church. A Lead Team of executive-level pastors oversees day-to-day ministry and church operations, as well as providing directional leadership to fulfill the vision and mission of Generation Church. The Lead team serves as Elders as described in 1 Timothy 5:17. Other Pastoral Staff serve the congregation and are responsible for developing spiritual growth strategies that align with GC’s vision and mission.
